Am trying out OctoberCMS after spending years on another CMS platform. My head is spinning as I'm not a programmer and am a little intimidated by the amount of coding needed initially. so I'm looking for some general help to get started with something basic.

I purchased a new theme that utilizes the Static pages plugin. I also downloaded the Store Locator plugin. The only documentation for the locator I can find is "Add [storeLocator] to configuration section and {% component 'storeLocator' %} to Twig section of your page"

So ideally I could make the Locator a block that I can drop into a static page (like the carousel, or client, or banner, etc). Otherwise I just need to understand how to integrate the locator plugin on my website. Is it via code in a custom block? create a new locator.htm block for Static pages? Using the locator component?

Sorry, please be gentle... I'm really in over my head. I tried reading the documentation for the Static Pages plugin... but it's way too early for all that terminology... I'm only a few hours into OctoberCMS. Any help, direction, guidance or code would be greatly appreciated.

I captured a short video how to add a plugin to your static page. Be aware, you have to update the plugin through Settings->System->Updates and Plugins first.

I saw you made an update for static pages... not sure what changed. I'm still getting the geolocation error. Is there a live demo site where I can see how this plugin works? I have it installed on a static page. I shows the geo error. and when I put it an address and miles I don't see anything happen. I have several locations loaded in the backend. I assume the plugin would show the markers on the map with some sort of info?

Do you use a Google Map Platform API Key ?
