Hello! I am newbie to October and I want to develop a plugin with a specific backend interface. I found great tutorial "Mastering Components" but it describes only front-end part. I want to find some tutorial or info which describes how to create panels for backend and how to interact with data base. It is very difficult to understand all methods how to deal with it having only documentation without specific examples and tutorials.

At this momemt I have 2 tables in my database. One for products of catalog and second is for categories of catalog. So I want to create new items (products) and categories in my backend panel (I have already done this). Also I want to select category from existing categories list for new item during creation (don't know how to do this yet).

Ok. Is there some tutorial that describes how to develop custom plugins manually without any Plugin Builders? I want to learn how to create plugins and how to customize backend panel step by step. There is great tutorial "Mastering Components" on vimeo https://vimeo.com/104896353 but it describes only frontend and it is pretty old. I dont believe that anyone can help me.
