I put the installer into a folder named "Temp" and ran it from there...little did I know my final site has temp as part of the Url. Pretty dumb- thought the docs said the installer could live anywhere but maybe that was the command line installer.
If I move the folders and files back one level- will there be files (.htaccess or .php) and/or database changes that need to be made?
You could install it anywhere, but you'd need to change the document root to reflect that otherwise you will see the folder name in the url.
Are you running apache, and do you have access to change your server's file? This is a simple change that involves pointing the public web directory to your /temp folder in the apache config file.
@rich19036 You should just be able to move the october app one level up without any changes needed whatsoever.
