I followed the instructions for the second option usage but the {{ SELF }} d'oesnt work.

Should I replace this tag with something else?

I was having the same issue. But you can just put in the alias of the component instead of {{ SELF }} and it should work.

Try using {{ __SELF__ }} instead of {{ SELF }}
