Since I've spent some time looking for an answer to this question, I thought I post it here so that others can find it.

To register a new namespace, you can add the following to your plugin's boot method:

$path = 'space';
App::make('October\Rain\Support\ClassLoader')->addDirectories($path);

In this example, a class placed in {OCTOBER_ROOT}/space/demo.php can use the namespace Space\Demo.
