I had to change my media folder to the public directory on my shared hosting.

I have it as so: public_html/photography/storage/app/media My .htaccess has the base as /photography instead of /

However, whenever I upload images, they upload to that directory, but when I view them, it tries to show me the thumbnail which is uploaded to storage/temp/public ... but it's still uploading in the backend (which is outside of the public_html root).. how do I change the directory of this? I'm on shared hosting so I can't just create a permalink or anything like that..

I want it to point to public_html/photography/storage/temp/public instead of the application path/storage/temp/public

Anybody have any leads on this?

There is apparently a config setting for this. I just dug through the classes and this appears to be where it's getting it from.

The setting is 'cms.storage.media.path'.
