Please help!
I have spent a few hours trying to solve this problem, however I do not know what happens.
In principle in my hosting managed by cpanel in the 419 version I have no problems, however when wanting to update to try more recent versions of October I asked to change the version to php7. With the php version selector in cpanel it is very simple.
Upon returning to the update and almost finished I get the error:
Unable to extract core file: /public_html/storage/temp/a74ad8dfacd4f985eb3977517615ce25.arc '.
After retry many times I decide to go to my local server thinking that the problem occurs in my hosting to be shared. I do the same process to be able to replicate it later, I have a clean installation through http://octobercms.com/download and OctoberCMS is installed correctly,
What happens in the / temp / directory? I wonder if someone has the same problem, I suspect it is due to a problem with php modules. I have active json and after checking the forum I can not find any clue.
Thank you !!!
Skip the User Plugin update from the update list. (Skip once) After the core system will update successfully. The next step is update the User Plugin, if you want.
Thanks for answering, but it still does not work. What I'm doing is developing on my local server and upload the whole site compressed, although it becomes tedious every time I update a plugin because I have to repeat the process again, I hope you find a solution. Thank you
http://prntscr.com/hct61i - screenshot error. Not the first time I get an error. Check for updates - don't work!

This worked for me *3
You need to do 2 steps with the below order to solve the problem:
- Upgrade the core: at this step, do not attach any project ID. If you attached one, please detach it. Then, click upgrade. Wait until the core upgraded successfully.
- Upgrade other plugins: attach the project ID (if you use it for installing or upgrading) and check updates.
Hope it helps!
