Lets say the user belong to roles. When i add a role, i would need to update something else in my plugin, same when i remove a role from a user from the backend, i would need to perform seme updates.

How do we do that already ?

in the end i used the builtin model event

  public function beforeDelete() {}

+1 as the parend model before and after functions are not called when just adding or removing relationships without deferred bindings
