There are a few tutorials around the web that will help get your foot in the door too.

Tnx John. Yes very few resources. I known the link you posted: i have also created my first theme. Right now i'm studying authentication (the documentation of "User Plugin" it's very minimalist but it's ok, it's mine fault... I'm an old self student :D

If your at the very beginning and want to learn the basics have a look at the October CMS Book Up and Running.

It goes further than the documentation and explains the overlooked things like how to set up on your local machine, deploying to production, what files should committed to the repository, etc.
