Hi there. Please update to v3.4. I have added two new blogList filters (popular and trending)
Popular utilizes a new page impressions attribute and will list by the page with the highest impressions first.
Trending does the same thing, but limits the results to posts from the last 30 days.
I also added a new Related Posts component that when placed on a list (if rendering posts from the list) or post page will render pages that relate to that respective posts' tags.
Hope you find these helpful. And please report any bugs related to these new features asap.

Is it also possible to choose the author from the user plugin? Could not find the way. Then i am totally satisfied.

Re author - not sure I understand your question. There is an author attribute that lists all backend users. Maybe I don't understand your question?

I dont know exactly how to explain this so i am going to try and do this as good as i can with an example. I have a page of users/authors. The authors need to be able to get called from the Blog plugin and other plugins so i have all the plugin information in one place. With this i mean like a story about them and other data like facebook twitter etc...
In my opinion the best way to do this is to do this with the user plugin from Rainlab. I want to select the users from that plugin to add to my blog and get all the information from so i can add an author/biography.
Next question is about the blog.
I created the blog. The overview has the url: /blog/:filter?/:slug?/:instance?/
If i go to the blog post i can not get the recommended based on tags to work. The post has the url of: /blog/:filter?/:slug?/
Even if i put the basic component in it will not create the recommended data for my blog articles.
Hope you can give me a push in the right direction with y questions. By the way the trending and popular works great thanks for adding this so fast very usefull for me.
If i need to explain anything better please let me know.
