Hi im new here but i came from PyroCMS. I love PyroCMS i realy do but the grass is always greener on the other side.

I cant honestly say i love October CMS, but i think i could, it seems to be a realy powerfull cms. Hope i can dev for this soon. For all the October CMS devs, great Job !

Ha, funny title. I looked at pyro a little before settling down in october, seemed to unstable at the moment. They started writing in laravel, then scraped it... too crazy.

Well perhaps not crazy, still it just reached the point the cons outweigh the pros. It is one of the best cms'es out there, it just seems october is better. Not sure yet, as i didnt dev in october yet, im quite sure i can find some cons in october over time.

At this point the biggest con is just that it is young. That said, it is pretty active and is growing quickly.

Well october is younger than pyro but it doesn't seems like pyro is growing anymore. Look at the irc channels of both systems and the google trends and well pyro could be on the way out and that is strange because pyro is still a very good cms, better than 90% out there. And if someone could point me to the cause of that that would be great. What is it that is withering away the community.

What drew me to OctoberCMS was its attention to details, and it's sensible architecture. The Builder plugin, in particular, allows for screaming fast dev cycles while designing your app visually, and lets you get straight to the REAL coding. I love the documentation both inside the src and on the site and the fact its a true Laravel app.
