Campaign Manager
Send professional campaign messages to your subscribers.
Template Component
The campaignTemplate component turns a CMS page into a campaign template. The same page also handles the links found in campaign emails, such as viewing the message in a browser, confirming a subscription and unsubscribing.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| isDynamic | Renders the template once for each subscriber. See Dynamic Templates. |
| verifyPage | The page to redirect to after a subscriber confirms their email address. |
| unsubscribePage | The page to redirect to after a subscriber unsubscribes. |
| unsubscribeFrom | Use account to cancel the subscription entirely, or list to only remove the subscriber from the lists targeted by the campaign. Default: account |
The page URL must include a :code parameter.
title = "Default template" url = "/campaign/message/:code" [campaignTemplate] verifyPage = "newsletter-verify-subscriber" unsubscribePage = "newsletter-unsubscribe" unsubscribeFrom = "account" == ...
Browser View
Opening the page with a campaign code renders the message for that subscriber and marks the message as read. The {browser_url} mail tag links to this view.
Verification
Confirmation links sent by the Signup and Subscriptions components add ?verify=1 to the page URL. The subscriber is confirmed and redirected to the verifyPage with the subscriber code in the code query string. When no page is set, a simple success message is shown.
Unsubscribing
The {unsubscribe_url} mail tag adds ?unsubscribe=1 to the page URL. Mail clients that support one-click unsubscribe can also send a List-Unsubscribe=One-Click POST request, which is advertised in the List-Unsubscribe header of every campaign email.
The unsubscribeFrom property controls what happens next.
- account cancels the subscription. The subscriber is removed from all lists and marked as unsubscribed.
- list removes the subscriber from the lists targeted by the campaign. The subscription stays active for their other lists.
Afterwards, the subscriber is redirected to the unsubscribePage with the following query string values.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
code |
The subscriber code, for use with the Subscriptions component. |
unsubscribed |
Set to 1 when the subscriber was unsubscribed. |
previously_unsubscribed |
Set to 1 when the subscriber had already unsubscribed. |
When no page is set, a simple success message is shown. To replace the default behavior, see the responsiv.campaign.beforeUnsubscribe event.
Tracking Pixel
Requesting the page with a .png suffix on the campaign code returns a transparent image and marks the message as read. Every message includes this image automatically.
