yes you can insert any carousel you want, just pick: https://octobercms.com/plugins/search?search=slider

There is no composer plugin, as I know, but you can edit your parts directly in backend in CMS module.

Hi, to install plugins from other developers, you have to follow plugin readme file and installation documentation. They are usually helpful :-)
