I know that the Pages plugin has something called 'Preview', but it is not a true preview, it just goes to the latest saved version of the page, even though it correctly displays in the theme template.

I have my own plugin created in builder and I enabled Preview. I managed to get the preview to display by appending the content id to the uri like such /backend/myauthor/myplugin/mymodel/preview/2. This is all explained here. Anyway, I kinda got to work in my plugin, but it goes to a view that is nothing more than a form that's not editable–obviously not super useful.

It's another story that the Blog plugin has preview enabled in the config_form.yaml as well as a button in the toolbar, that I never got any kind of preview to work in the Blog plugin. I suspect it would be just as described in the second case.

So please please if anyone ever has the time to work on this, real Previewing that's easy to implement and well documented would be much appreciated!

Perhaps it could be tied in to some kind of versioning as well, save draft, restore from draft, etc
