Does the plugin add a inline format palette ? Or which tools does it offer ?

Regarding the colums, it would be great if there would be a button which lets you add a custom piece of code so that we can easily add a colum layout , eg by using bootstrap, materialize etc

This plugin only allows to edit simple texts, the same texts that you can edit via backend -> translate messages in a simple textarea editor, it doesn't offer any formatting tools and I don't plan on allowing complex editing. I think there are other plugins that allow to edit complex html in a wysiwyg editor, but not this one, EditMe is only for basic text editing and translation.
