I have 3 distinct groups of users, all of which need to be able to login to my site. I'm having difficulty figuring out the best way to set the models up and allow them all to authenticate through the site.

For instance, my user model contains information that the other models do not (specific dates, status, etc). What would be the best way to incorporate such a design into October? I would like them all to be able to login from the same page, but depending on the model only access certain parts of the site.

Currently I am using the user groups to designate permissions, however my User model is extremely cluttered. For example, all users have the same fields and extension, some of which they do not need.
